Field Trip to Homestead Farm
Today, we went to a farm to pick apples!!
We had a great time. Even the rocks on the ground were fun!
Our guide told us about all the animals on the farm.
We thought they were fun to look at.
Elmo the calf liked the hay we fed him.
We smiled at the pigs,
and they smilled (or made funny faces) back at us.
The goats were pretty cute
and seemed as interested in us as we were in them.
After visiting all the animals, we took a ride in the hay wagon.
Sitting on the hay was sure fun.
We got out in the apple orchard and picked our own bags of apples.
We could eat them right after we picked them,
and then go back and pick some more.
When our bags were full, we took a hay ride back to our cars. In school, we made our own apple juice with our apples. It was the best juice we ever had!
