Eligibility and Requirements
By September 1st of the school year, children must have had their 2nd birthday to be eligible for the 2s* or 2/3s program, their 3rd birthday to be eligible for the 3s program, and their 4th birthday to be eligible for the 4/5s program. An effort is made to keep a balance of boys/girls and ages in each class.

Two months of tuition are paid in advance upon acceptance into the school. These pre-payments apply to September and May. The remaining seven months are paid monthly, due on the 1st day of the preceding month.

Annual Fee
Covers things such as field trips and music and language instruction
Annual fee is due once per year in September, the first week of school
If child enrolls after first month of school, annual fees are prorated
Monthly Tuition
First and last month tuition are prepaid upon acceptance as a deposit
Seven months (October – April) of tuition due monthly on 1st of month
*Bonus Day for 2/3s and 2’s class depends on sufficient enrollment before the beginning of the school year. If there is not sufficient enrollment, the Bonus Day will not be offered. Email the Admissions Chair (admissions@clns.org) for more information.
Pre-K Enrichment
Limited to 16 students
Offered January – May, 3 days/week (Tues, Wed and Thurs)
Not a drop-in program. All participants must be enrolled in the program.
Pre-K Enrichment tuition is due monthly on 1st of the month.
Lunch Bunch and Extended Fees
Extended day limited to 18 students
Children at least 3 years old to participate
Billed monthly in advance. Drop-in is subject to availability and billed with the following month’s invoice.
Lunch Bunch is from 12:15 – 12:45 PM (Tues, Wed, Thurs)
Extended day is from 12:45 – 2:30 PM (Tues, Wed, Thurs, includes LB)
Scholarships
Every year, Cedar Lane Nursery School is able to offer a limited number of scholarships to families in need. All scholarships are partial, covering a portion of tuition costs, and are dependent on the financial need of the family. In order to request a scholarship, families must complete the scholarship application and submit their tax return for the prior year and pay stubs from the past month if there has been a change in income since the previous tax year. 2024-2025 Application Information
The schedule for applying to Cedar Lane Nursery School is as follows:
October: Tours begin and applications are accepted (email admissions@clns.org to schedule a tour). Tours are typically the 3rd Friday (Thursday for the 2s class) of each month. The 2024-2025 CLNS admissions application is now accessible through an online application portal. You may access it HERE.
November: Open House is Saturday, November 4, 2023 from 9:30-11:30. Registration required.
February 1: Application deadline. All applications received after Feb 1st will be reviewed on a rolling basis.
March 1: Parents notified of admission status.

Our community continues in the afternoon with optional activities.
Lunch Bunch
Available Tuesday through Thursday depending on demand, 12:15 – 12:45 pm for ages 3 and up. Children bring their own prepared lunch from home. Lunch Bunch is an excellent opportunity for children to continue developing social skills outside the classroom.
Extended Day
Available Tuesday through Thursday depending on demand, 12:45 – 2:30 pm for ages 3 and up. The afternoon enrichment program is teacher-led and allows children to explore a variety of themes throughout the year.
An exciting opportunity for children ages two to six to explore new experiences through art, outdoor water play, cooking, science and drama. Each activity is child-oriented and geared towards creative and independent thinking. Summer camp is also an excellent way for new children and parents to become familiar with the school and teachers.
Applications will be available starting in January and are required for each child attending Cedar Lane Summer Fun.
